If I have one thing to say about this book, it's this: literally everyone in this book needs to go to therapy. Like, right now.
"Teddy Crutcher has won Teacher of the Year at the prestigious Belmont Academy, home to the best and brightest. He says his wife couldn’t be more proud—though no one has seen her in a while.
Teddy really can’t be bothered with a few mysterious deaths on campus that are looking more and more like murder or the student digging a little too deep into Teddy’s personal life. His main focus is pushing these kids to their full academic potential.
All he wants is for his colleagues—and the endlessly meddlesome parents—to stay out of his way.
If not, well, they’ll get what they deserve. It’s really too bad that sometimes excellence can come at such a high cost."

This book was such an interesting read. I hadn't really refreshed myself on the synopsis before reading, and honestly I'm kind of glad I didn't. I felt like the first 10-15% of the book was so compelling because I could tell that something was off, but I really didn't know yet what was happening so I had to keep going to find out. The characters were all kinds of messed up, but like a car wreck I couldn't turn away. This book touched on so many interesting topics and had so many twists and turns. I'm definitely an overall fan of Samantha Downing's writing now and will be checking out her other books.
